Welcome to Chicagoland SAA!
Sex Addicts Anonymous is a Twelve Step fellowship for people of all genders who want to recover from sexual addiction.
Local meetings offer an accepting, non-threatening environment where we can share our common struggles and learn how to apply the principles of the Twelve Steps to our everyday lives.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop addictive sexual behavior. There are no fees or dues. We practice strict anonymity and confidentiality, so that our meetings are a safe place for all of us. Who we meet or what is said in a meeting is considered as confidential.
We are not a religious organization or aligned with any sect or denomination. Our primary purpose is to stay sexually healthy and to help other sex addicts achieve freedom from compulsive sexual behavior.
What is Intergroup?
Chicagoland SAA intergroup is made up of individuals who represent meetings within the Chicagoland area, who meet regularly to coordinate activities and conduct business for the collective benefit of the meetings in the area.
An intergroup works to provide resources for and serve the meetings in the area. Our intergroup services include the following:
Maintaining a list of active meetings in the area
Providing new meetings with resources to facilitate the startup process
Providing information & resources to individuals who request support
Creating a quarterly newsletter to share experience, strength, and hope
Visiting treatment centers to provide information about sex addiction and Twelve Step
Hosting events & workshops to increase fellowship and recovery tools
